When you successfully complete this course you will receive an Endorsement Certificate you can take to NZTA to update your Drivers Licence. The Unit Standards you are successful in passing will be applied to your NZQA Record of Achievement if you achieve the Endorsement Certificate for the Basic Course.

When you successfully complete this course you will be qualified to transport dangerous goods on a public road.
Transport operators, couriers and others transporting for 'hire or reward' usually need this endorsement. If you are not certain whether you need this, check the information about the Dangerous Goods endorsement here.
Pre-requisites for ALL STUDENTS:
If you have limited English speaking or understanding skills let us know as it may limit your ability to pass this course. If you struggle with reading/writing let us know when booking as we have instructors who can assist with this. We do not allow translators.
You must hold a NZ Drivers Licence that is either:

You must hold a D Endorsement on your NZ Drivers Licence that has not been expired for more than one year.
For the Dangerous Goods Course (Basic) allow:
- 6 hours theory (if you complete online allow 2 hours instead for assessment)
- Open book Theory Test
For the Dangerous Goods Renewal Course allow:
- 1-2 hours theory
- Closed book Theory Test
