When you successfully complete this course you will receive a certificate and wallet licence to certify you as competent to drive a forklift on company premises. You will also receive the following credits:
Unit Standard 10851: Operate a powered industrial lift truck (forklift) Version 4, Level 3, Credits 7
Unit Standard 10852: Operate a powered industrial lift truck (forklift) fitted with attachments Version 4, Level 3, Credits 3
Unit Standard 18409: Use a forklift mounted safety platform in the workplace Version 5, Level 3, Credits 4
Please note, as with any certified forklift certificate you are limited to the type of forklift you have been assessed on. This is transferable to any New Zealand worksite.
During COVID restrictions whilst any form of face to face training is carried out (at our site and yours) we will need to:
- ensure 2m distancing from the instructor and individual students who are not in a company bubble is adhered to (companies can have a 1m distancing restriction);
- ensure machinery is sanitised between drivers;
- no food or drink is provided;
- no more than 10 on a course excluding instructors;
- everyone must be contract traced;
- facemasks to be worn at all times;
- where possible gloves to be used to reduce contamination risks;
- if showing symptoms of being unwell you will be asked to reschedule.
All courses include:
* Theory Training
* Daily check of machinery
* Practical training
Students will receive a High Vis vest.
