When you successfully complete this course you will recieve a Hianz Silver Card widely recognised on any worksite. Those doing the Unit Standard Course will have the Units applied to their Record of Learning.
When indicating your preferred dates, allow a full day for those requiring Unit Standard training and a half day for those who already have the required Unit Standards on their record of Achievement (see below).
If you have previously completed the following Unit Standards and they are on your NZQA Record of Achievement (ROA) you can do the EWP Refresher Course. Naturally you only need to have the Unit Standards on your ROA that you are planning to renew.

23960 - Scissorlift
23962 - Self Propelled Boomlift (aka Knuckleboom)
23963 - Trailer Mounted Boomlift (aka Cherrypicker)
23964 - Vertical Lift
If you have NOT previously completed the Unit Standard, or it is not on your ROA, you must do the full unit standard training, not a Refresher course (even if you know how to operate them). You need to provide a copy of your ROA on the day of training, failure to do so will require the Beginners Course (and cost) to successfully complete training.
All courses include:
* Student manual received on the day if doing Unit Standards
* Hi Vis Vest
* Theory Training
* Theory test
* Daily check of machinery
* Practical assessment on EWP Machinery your have booked for
Beginner courses also include:
* 1/2 day practical training
Pre-requisites for ALL Students:
Students cannot have a fear of heights as they will be harnessed in to the EWP and lifted over 3 metres from the ground;
Pre-requisites for REFRESHER Students:
Students must hold the Unit Standards as mentioned above in order to do a Refresher Course. Proof of this must be provided at the time of your booking.
